Sherman Community Players? third show in the 2009-2010 Season will be the rollicking comedy, THE NERD written by Larry Shue who also wrote THE FOREIGNER, one of SCP?s funniest crowd-pleasing shows, and this one if even funnier!
The play tells the story of a young architect named Willum, whose life was saved many years ago in the Vietnam War by a man named Rick, whom he has never met. Many years later Rick shows up at Willum?s apartment and turns out to be the ?nerdiest? person imaginable. In a very short time, the geeky war hero proceeds to destroy Willum?s social life, as well as his professional career, and he is helpless to do anything about it because he feels he owes his life to Rick.
THE NERD is guaranteed to take audiences on a zany, zig-zag trip of uproarious laughter. So get on board and enjoy the ride!
