Autumn is my favorite time of the year to catch stripers. Many people have winterized their boats and focused their efforts on hunting leaving the lake less crowed while the fish are becoming more and more active with the falling water temperatures. Fall fishing is awesome on Texoma and now is the time to reserve your fall trip. Catching 10lb fish on topwaters is a common occurrence from September through the end of October and the bait fishing is as good as it gets. A typical fall trip will involve catching our big fish on topwaters at first light and switching to bait to finish up our limit after the topwater bite is over. . . .

Lake Texoma water temperature is at 82? and falling with the cooler weather we have been having. The elevation is just below normal at 617.83. The days are getting shorter and fall is quickly approaching. The fishing is still hot and cold but the slow days are a lot more productive than they were a couple of weeks ago. We?ve been catching 15-20 fish when it is slow and 50-100 fish . . .

The lure fishing is on right now on Lake Texoma. Lake Texoma water temperature is at 85? and the elevation is 618.85 which is right at normal. Slabs, topwaters and cohoes are where it is at right now. Bait is not working right now and from what I?ve heard, if your not using lures, your not catching fish. There is a slab run that has been working the past few days . . .
